AMOXYCILLIN OILY INJECTIONS BP VET LANIL OIL INJECTION
Shake well Before use.^Injection site volume should not exceed 10ml (i.e, a 20ml dose should be divided between 2 sites).

Dosage and administration:
Intramuscular and subcutaneous injection-15 mg / kg body weight^Cattle, Goat, Sheep & Pigs: By intramuscular route^Dogs and Cats: By subcutaneous injection.^Cattle & Horses: 7.5 ml per 100 kg body weight^Pig , Sheep and Calves: 3.75 ml per 50 kg body weight^If necessary, the dose may be repeated after 48 hours.
Treatment of diseases caused by germs sensitive to Amoxycillin in cattle, Sheep, Goat, Pigs and Dogs. Especially local, gastrointestinal, respiratory and urogenital infections are concerned.^Respiratory tract infection: Such as Bronchopneumonia caused by Pasteurella multicida and Streptococcus suis.^Gastro-Intestinal tract infections: Such as enteritis caused by E-coli and Salmonella, Diarrhoea, white Diarrhoea, Paratyphus and Neonatal scour.^Euro genital tract infection: such as Uretritis, Nephritis, Cystitis, Metritis, Retained placenta after Abortion.^Systemic Infections by E-coli, streptococcus, Mastitis.^In prevention of post-operative infection (treat before surgery).
Mode of action:
LANIL is a long acting formulation. The active ingredient is Amoxycillin trihydrate.^Amoxycillin is a semi-synthetic Antibiotic belongs to penicillin group.^Amoxycillin has a bactericidal action: It acts through the inhibition of synthesis of the cell wall of bacteria in growth phase.^Maximum serum concentration is observed about two hour after administration.^Prolonged resorption from the injection site which ensure continuous intake of Amoxycillin in the blood circulation and therefore in all the body.^In vitro Amoxycillin is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria which include: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp. staphylococci and streptococci.Prevention of post-operative infection (treat before surgery).^Following parenteral administration, Amoxycillin is widely distributed and high levels are seen particularly in kidney, urine, liver and bile.
